Walking In Joy – Podcast episode 102
My first podcast aired last week; after much prayer, I have chosen to not advertise it with those close to me except my husband and best friend because Walking In Joy is dedicated to helping those in need of encouragement who deal with depression. It’s not about me and I want to give all glory to the Lord. Although I am sure they will find out someday this too is a healing journey for me and sometimes the less you say to those who might not be receptive may be a wise decision and can benefit the process.
So you can imagine how surprised I was that in one week the podcast has had 70 new subscribers within the first four days ranging from Australia, Brazil, Canada, England, Morocco, India, Thailand, Japan, Sadi Arabia and all over the USA.
Last week I shared about my story in battling depression and my healing process is not complete but I am in a very good place now and blood, sweat, and tears have been healing waters for me. I believe that for me the first step to starting through the healing process was to completely surrender it to the Lord. Then I educated myself about what depression is and how it affects not only your mental state but its effects physically.
On this episode, I will give an overview of what I know and encourage you to start your own journey. Also moving forward each episode will have a Walking In Joy action plan; that will include optional free download resources on our web page http://www.walkinginjoy.com the healing process is not a passive one, so I hope that our free optional tools will help you.
